I just wanted to say that Ken does the best Lawn Mower Man Dance that I have ever seen. Went to the review class, thought it was helpful and am planning on taking the test tomorrow. The Peet's coffee was awful but the Starbuch's was the bomb in the afternoon.
I have attended many seminars over the years covering many different topics and I can say without hesitation that Ken Perry is the most informed and best presenter I have seen. Continuing education can be a very boring & tedious subject at times but Ken makes things fun and interesting. His sense of humor and in class exercising/dancing keeps you on your toes {literally}. Regarding Washington Prep Info: We need the formula for APR on the HP-12c and what are the fees to deduct from that.
I am with Loan Source. My team and I all took the test prep class and so far we are 3 for 3 on passing it!! The class was very much worth the time and money. Just not having to take the test over again made it all worth it. I would advise anyone to take the class who hasn't.
I just passed my test! Phew! I could not have done it without the help of Ken Perry. The humor and info connected to specific questions wa so helpful when I needed the instant recall. Rip off the band-aid, take the class, then get in and take that test and PASS! It feels liberating to have it all behind me. Many thanks Broker Knowledge Group
I passed my test on July 25, I am so glad that I took Ken's course couldn't have done it on my own.
Hi Ken, Here is a quick update on the WA test I just passed. I finished in about 19 minutes, one minute better then Ken, kidding :} Actually, it took me about 30 minutes only because I wanted to make sure I read all the question’s completely. I knew 70% of all the answer’s even before I read the entire question. It was an easy test because of Ken’s class & study guide. After studying Ken’s guide I went through the first 500 questions on the DFI website and the questions became easier to answer. The day before the test I went back and studied one last time the question’s I missed on the DFI website. Thanks’ Ken for your help. Sincerely, Scott Harman Guarantee Mortgage
I just wanted to let you know that I passed the Washington State exam Saturday morning after taking Ken's prep course Thursday afternoon. Ken's approach stream-lined the materials and saved me hours of tedious memorizing. Thanks so much for the great class--I wouldn't suggest anyone take the test without going through your course first no matter how long you've been in this business. Woodland Home Lending in Spokane Washington Rocks!!! Having taken Ken's Test Prep class, so far 4 of the 7 Loan officers that have taken the Washington State Loan Originators test have Passed! Ken's fun and innovative ways to remember material were very helpful and made the information easy to retain. We highly recommend Ken and Broker Knowledge Group. Sincerely, Woodland Home Lending, LLC Loan Originators
I passed mine. I was prepared to be there for the full time but even finished relatively early. Ken, youuuu are thhheee man!
I just wanted to thankyou for the great information your classes offered. I just passed the Washington loan officers exam. The study guide really helped outline the areas needed to focus on when studying for the test.
Ken- I took your WA test prep class on Wed, reviewed your information on Thursday, and Passed my test this morning. Thanks for your great teaching methods in helping me retain some of the information. I always enjoy your classes, and would not attend other teachers classes for my education, if I have the choice. You do a great job and thanks for help me get this WA test passed and behind me.
I have to say that when I took the Washington Originator's Prep course on Thursday, I was beginning to think that there was a lot of information that I did not know and was concerned that I would not pass the test on Saturday. As it turned out, I only had about 1 hour to review the questions again before the test and I was relieved to find that because the questions on the test were worded exactly like the questions in the study manual, I was able to recall the class discussion and find the right answer. I passed with flying colors, and it took me about 45 minutes to complete the test. It was a great prep class and the manual was a great study resource. Overall, I learned a lot and the benefit was much more than just being able to pass the test. I feel as though I will be a better originator, for having taking the class.
Ken Perry...you rock the mic! Thank you for seriously making the CE class on Dec. 1st so much fun. I had a lot of new people there and they learned SOOO much. You backed up everything I have been passionate about at the kitchen table. It was a great class. Fabulous information. Your team is amazing, they put up with all kinds of people that day! Super Troopers! We will use you again. That is a promise! Thank you so very much, Jessica Layne.
Ken, Excellent!! 6 hours on continuing education! With 15 years in mortgage lending underwriting and management, I have been through a lot of classes and seminars and quite simply this was the best! The students were fully engaged and learning throuout the presentation. Thats tough to do but you did a great job. As I make the transition from wholesale to retail I look forward to attending more of your calsses. Great Job and thanks!! Eric Martinson
My husband and I attended your WA/OR state compliance class today (11-17-07), what a refreshing surprise. We were not looking forward to sitting in class for 6 hours on a Saturday, but I have to say... we had a BLAST!!! I never thought learning could be so much fun. Seriously, we really enjoyed our time with you, those 6 hours just flew by. Everyone laughed so much our guts were sore afterward. You are an AMAZING speaker. We can't wait till next year when we get to do it all over again. (Those who opted to take the online course really missed out.) Thanks so much for doing what you do and educating people in our line of business about ethics and fraud. Your passion and expertise are evident in your energy and outstanding presentation. The world needs more people like you. Thank you again for all you do.
Thanks Ken for taking a very trying subject matter of continuing education and injecting a wonderful dose of humor and a sweeeet!! smattering of entertainment to an otherwise dry subject matter. My loan officer passed her Washington test and we both received Oregon and Washington C/E credits. Best class I've been to. I will see you next year.
Ken made three full days of industry info fly with his excellent presentation on each subject and his great personality in front of an audience. I actually missed him the first day back to work. Like we were best friends!! He is that funny and good at what he does. Far better to take his class verses online education, down to the donuts and coffee in the morning and lunch in afternoon provided in the class price. Nice job Ken!!
Yep. We love Ken, only I have an issue of wanting to yawn when I think of him. Its my fatalistic attitude and his power of suggestion that are combining to set me up for next we meet. Thanks, Ken. See you soon. K. Simons
Ken, I'm the old guy of the group and have attended many courses seminars and so forth but I can't tell you how much I enjoyed what could have potentially been a serious "downer". This was a great use of my time in terms of good info plus I enjoyed myself and frankly I'm surprised I am saying this about a course. Great work, terrific and important information on the Fraud issues our industry faces. Great music library, the lawn mower performance was impressive considering the room size ....you still pulled it off. I/we look forward to seeing you again. I wish you and your family a great year.
hey ken, great class the other day, not one yawn and that is saying a lot for me in these situations! Anyway, you mentioned an economic guy / "Guru" that you had managed to have lunch with once or twice and I didn't get his name and wondered if he writes or has any type of website or anything that we can check in on when we are curious about different opinions about what's happening out there etc.... Just curious. thanks again
I usually have a hard time learning and holding on to infomation and anything that I hear. But through your program and class I can remember it all. The class was energetic and fun allowing me to recall memories of certain subject. I look foward into doing this again next year only if you do that dish washing dance again j/k. Have a wonderful year.
I took Ken's newest class "Ethics Aftermath" and really liked it. This class gives everybody with every experience level something to think about in these unprecedented times. Very entertaining. Thanks, Ken.
There are two things that I like about Ken. First, he's a blazer fan. Second, he's a huge blazer fan.

Ken I am trying schedule my WA State LO license test. I already have my broker license, but now I have to take the state test since I originally to the test in March 2007. Looking at the tests, you can either take the Prometric or Pearsonvue test. My question is which test it better to take, Ok lets really ask whcih one is easier? Also, do they have a test center in Vancouver, WA? They direct you to the NLMS site to sign up and it is very confusing. Hopefully you can enlighten me on this. Thanks Robert
Ken, I took the webinar this morning at 9:00 am PST, but am confused as to whether or not mortgage bankers must disclose YSP or not? Just an oberservance.....The new RESPA GFE/HUD I believe will harder for consumers to digest and understand......in comparision to existing GFE/TIL we use. This document is self explanatory and I have never had any issues explaining to clients. My approach is to over disclose/explain. Well, just Another fine example of our tax dollars at work. SAM
Hi Ken! Went to the Hyperion sponsored RESPA class of yours! GREAT JOB! My Escrow Officer Denise Adlard Ticor Title is VERY well educated on her end of the new RESPA requirements and willing to teach us from the Title side what she is able and willing to do for us. All the experience we can aquire on our "teams" will assist us all with new compliences from YOU to Title to processors , thanks for being there for us.
I attended the Extreme RESPA makeover sponsored by Hyperion Capital Group. Information was helpful, but I was one of many who received the 2008 student manual, instead of the 2009. Please forward the 2009 manual. Thank you
Ken...you made the class fun! Thanks for the Training! I have a pretty good RESPA violation going on with HUBBLE right now...or so I think. In the P&S their paying 3% closing cost and on another page state they will pay 350.00 of the appraisal. When we went to verify for the HUD1, the rep said they were only offering to pay that if they used their preferred lender. Your thoughts...
