Darn Portland House Values!
Tuesday, March 25, 2008
OK, so a new release was sent out yesterday on the home values across the Nation based on the Case Shiller index, which many of you know is my absolute favorite index due to its' accuracy. Turns out Portland Metro just dropped to -.5% year over year. This is the first drop I have seen since monitoring this index. Seattle cam in worse than us with a -1.3% drop. I still say it is far better than the 19.3% drop seen in Vegas and Miami. That's one year! Keep an eye on these. We should see Portland and Seattle drop steadily throughout the year, but they will pale in comparison to Vegas, Miami, Phoenix, and California. Those areas have a long way to go.
For the national statistics I am referring to just go here:
